Winemaking

A delicious well balanced and structured Chenin Blanc from the Swartland. This wine is a true terroir expression. Farmed dry-land, thus not irrigated. Selected from a specific vineyard on our property. The vines are aged 51 years. This block delivers a distinctively different Chenin Blanc than the rest of the farm. The grapes were handpicked early mornings and cooled overnight. Partially whole bunch and basket press. The juice was left to settle overnight without adding any enzymes. The wine did not undergo full malolactic fermentation to enhance the freshness of the wine.

Tasting Notes

Golden wheat colour. Fresh apple notes, quince jelly balanced with chalky mineral undertones. Crisp acidity with a layered palate.
